One of the main missions of the NYCLU Nassau is educating the public on their
civil liberties. We further this mission in many ways, from forums where
we lecture and engage the public in debate to newsletters and brochures encapsulating
key issues. One of our favorite ways is through our traveling
exhibits. Both "Faces of Liberty" and "Censorship in Public
Schools and Libraries" have been mainstays of the chapter for
decades. Traveling around Nassau County, they offer citizens a visual way
to learn and experience the history of civil liberties on the Island.
To learn more about the history, composition and schedule of these exhibits,
please go to their individual pages below. We hope to see you at one soon!
