Give me Liberty, or give me Hors D'Oeuvres

Our second NYCLU Nassau House Party has been scheduled! Come join friends for a night of fun at the home of Bruce Castellano and Gerald Anders. Mingle and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and desserts while learning how you can support the Nassau Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union.
April 25, 2008 at 8 p.m. Call the office at (516) 741-8520 for the address and to RSVP.

Who's a "Super Woman?" Our Executive Director, of Course!

Our chapter's tireless Executive Director Tara Keenan-Thomson was featured in the Long Island Press' Fortune 52 Women of Achievement Profile. This column is dedicated to honoring the movers and shakers on the Island, so our Tara was a natural choice. You can read her profile here. If you are interested in supporting Tara further, and getting a chance to mingle with the other Women of Achievement at a networking event, give the office a call for information about the April 14th mixer.

What about the Patriot Act?

Find out how this legislation is still affecting the lives of Americans and why you should still be concerned. Hear Executive Director Tara Keenan-Thomson be part of a panel on this subject at an event sponsored by the League of Women Voter's on April 16th. She'll be speaking at 7:30 p.m. at the Wantagh Public Library, 3285 Park Avenue, Wantagh.
